Local time
The time in Peru is 5 hours
behind GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and is similar to EST
(Eastern Standard Time) in the United States.
However, Peru does not operate daylight savings time in
order to save energy, therefore the hours are the same
year-round and do not vary from one geographic region
to another.

Working
hours Store hours
are variable and tend to change constantly. Some
places may indicate their schedule, though it is not always
followed. Some stores close for long hours during
lunchtime. In government offices during weekends,
the open hours are limited or even non-existent.
You could ask taxi drivers which stores are open late,
but try to be patient regarding this area.
